In a statement issued by the regional headquarters of the Meteorological Department, it has been reported that the minimum temperature in Kolkata has risen to 28.5 degrees Celsius, exceeding the normal by two degrees, while the maximum temperature stands at 35 degrees Celsius, below the usual range.
Similar trends have been observed in other districts of the state, including Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, and Bankura, where temperatures ranged between 27 to 36 degrees Celsius. Although the sky remains cloudy, there is no expectation of rainfall today. However, the forecast indicates a resumption of rising temperatures starting from the upcoming weekend. Conversely, the weather remains normal in Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong of North Bengal.
